Senior Vs. Junior Season 2
Spring is finally here. And this doesn't just mean nicer weather for another season of motorcycling riding, it also means a new season of "American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior."
The original reality TV show that displayed the troubles of the Teutul family, "American Chopper," was canceled on the The Learning Channel (TLC) in February 2010 after six seasons.
Since then, Discovery Channel has been its new home, but with subtitle. American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior shows the up-and-down relationship of Paul Teutul Sr., owner of Orange County Choppers (OCC) and Paul Teutul Jr., owner of Paul Jr. Designs (PJD), both of Newburgh, N.Y.
As the second season of Senior Vs. Junior begins, tensions continue to flare between Orange County Choppers' "Senior" and Paul Jr. Designs' "Junior."
The first season ended with the settling of a lawsuit between father and son; a court ruled that Paulie Teutul Junior would have to give up his 20-percent interest in his Teutul Senior's shop, OCC.
Besides the continuing legal drama, the chopper builds are in full effect for season 2, which is giving the viewers the opportunity to see some original designs in the world of custom motorcycles.
So far, six bikes will be featured on the second season of American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior. Paul Junior Designs will display the build of the Cranky Ape Chopper, Fist Enterprises and the Wounded Warrior's Bike.
Orange County Choppers will show the building of the three Trans Am Depot choppers. There is also talk of a Deadliest Catch bike build.
Besides the custom bikes, there are many questions about the human relationships in the upcoming season of American Chopper: Jr. Vs. Senior.
PJD fired the youngster Odie last season, and then Odie turned to Paulie Senior for a job and consoling. Will Paul Teutul Sr. hire him? If so how long will that last? Every viewer has easily observed Odie's cockiness and back talking.
The ultimate question is will there ever be reconciliation between father and son? Will the Teutul family ever sit down in the same room together without wanting to make digs at each other?
Although everyone tunes in for the drama, reality is this is a family who dislikes each other while attempting to run successful, competing businesses.
Most fathers want to see their sons succeed and if there is a family business to follow in their footsteps. That is not what is portrayed in the series American Chopper: Senior Vs. Junior.
Keep in mind it is reality "television." Are we seeing the truth? Or is it an overall design to enhance TV drama. Weigh in with your opinions, especially on the biggest issue: do you want to see the Teutul family reconcile?

This has been a good season of American Chopper, In my heart I hope it is the last. It got a little strength back when they started the Sr Verses Jr, but with no direct competition doesn't it really defeat the purpose? Hopefully that changes this season. Working nights at DISH I rely on my DVR to record my prime time shows, but I can also use my sling adapter to stream any live channel to my iphone, or my recorded shows, so usually I stay on top of American Chopper during my lunch hour on Monday.
